Repair Firing Range - This project includes furnishing all plant, labor, equipment, materials, and performance of all operations necessary for the removal of lead contaminated soil, demolish part of the old range, then build new range, then build new range in preparation for installation of a bullet trap upon completion. Work includes excavation, identifcation/categorization, and disposal of lead contaminated soil; grading, boring, backfilling, compaction, seeding; concrete and masonry work; structural steel, metal/wood framing, carpentry; electrical, extension and relocation of utilities; piping and plumbing work; along with any needed interior work to handle electrical and plumbing needs. Magnitude of construction is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. Anticipated issuance date for IFB Solicitation Number F14614-95-B0008 is 30 Jan 95. Tentative opening date is 29 Feb 95. Performance period will be 150 calendar days after receipt of the Notice to Proceed. Standard Classification Code is 1629. This action is being considered for 100% set-asides for Small Disadvantaged Business (SDB) concerns. Interested SDB concerns should notify our office, in writing, of their intention to bid on the project as a prime contractor as early as possible but no later than 15 calendar days of this notice. This notification must include a positive statement of eligibility as a small socially and economically disadvantaged business concern, evidence of capacity to obtain required bonds, and specific information which demonstrates the capability to perform projects of this complexity and magnitude. Complete information concerning management experience in similar work and financial status should be submitted with references. If adequate interest is not received from SDB concerns, the solicitation will be issued on an unrestricted basis without further notice. Therefore, replies to this office are still requested from all interested business concerns as well as from Small Disadvantaged Business concerns. Project requirements will be made available on or about 30 Jan 95. No telephone requests for bid sets will be honored. All requests for bids sets must be in writing.
