X -- LANGUAGE TRANSLATION SERVICES SOL SSA-RFP-95-2488 DUE 022395 POC Susan Goodhand tel: (410) 965-6526 The Social Security Administration is seeking organizations and/or individuals to provide TRANSLATION SERVICES OF MEDICAL DOCUMENTS in the languages of Spanish, French, German, Greek, Italian, Norwegian, Swedish and Danish. Documents may include medical certificates or reports, hospital records, laboratory test reports, etc. Familiarity with medical terminology is essential. Greek and Scandinavian languages may also include legal documents such as civil and religious certificates, divorce and adoption papers and/or insurance documents. With regard to the Scandinavian languages, although most documents will be in the Norwegian language, the contractor must have the capability of translating all three languages. It is anticipated that as a result of the issuance of the solicitation, a firm-fixed price, indefinite-quantity contract will be awarded. The period of performance shall be one year from date of this award with four one-year options, if exercised. SSA-RFP-95-2488 is scheduled to be released on or about 01/24/95 with proposals due 30 days thereafter. Proposals from all responsible sources will be considered. Any small business desiring a copy of SSA-RFP-95-2488 must submit its request in writing within fifteen days of this announcement. All requests should cite SSA-RFP-95-2488. All responsible small business sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the agency. This requirement is a 100% small business set-aside. (0003)
