Description
09/08/2026: Amendment 0001: The purpose of this amendment is to clarify that this solicitation is considered FULL AND OPEN COMPETITION. The solicitation was inadvertently advertised originally as a total small business set-aside in error. There is no change in the bid due date or time. Scope: It is the purpose of this specification that the elevators identified in the contract documents must be properly maintained such that at the end of the contract period they will be substantially in the same condition with respect to performance, cleanliness, safety, wear, and appearance as at the beginning of the contract period. Maintenance Requirements: The Contractor must make regular and systematic monthly examinations and adjustments to maintain the efficiency, safety, speed, and operating characteristics as originally designed and installed by the manufacturers of the equipment, including acceleration, deceleration, contract speed with or without full load, floor to floor time, door opening and closing time, and leveling accuracy. The Contractor must make minor repairs to or replace the small operating parts of the elevator system at no additional cost to the FAA. Small parts must be considered as those having a cost of Seven hundred dollars ($700.00) or less in the quantity normally used to repair or replace a specific component, e.g. one coil for a relay; a set of contacts and carbon brushes. Replacement of major parts, e.g. the controllers, motors, traction machine components, bearings, brake coils, gears, rewinding of motors, renewal of worm and ring gear combinations, and motor generators must be provided to FAA at the lowest price available. For any such parts, which are customarily supplied by the Contractor, such price to FAA under this contract must not exceed the Contractors current list price less Government discount. The labor and installation of major parts must be accomplished under the provisions of this contract at no additional cost to FAA. Emergency services must be provided under terms of this contract at no additional costs to FAA. Refer to the section titled Hours of Service below for additional requirements. Repairs and adjustments must be accomplished at no additional cost. Should it be determined during the servicing of the equipment that replacement of major parts is required, such must be reported to the Contracting Officer for approval prior to proceeding with the contemplated work. At the Governments discretion, additional facilities may be added to the contract. Please refer to the attached Scopes of Work (SOW) and Appendix/Appendices in Section J of the solicitation for full details. Note: The Contracting Officer's physical location is iat the FAA's Regional Office in Des Moines, WA 98198.
