- The U.S. Embassy Kingston anticipates issuing a Request for Quotations (RFQ) for the demolition, removal, replacement, and installation of a double sliding security gate and controller assembly at the Embassy compound's parking lot on Bamboo Avenue in Kingston, Jamaica. The anticipated scope of work includes, but is not limited to: * Demolish and remove existing gate, controller and track assembly in all its entirety * Construct plinth for gate controller and repair surface of wheel way * Install replacement gate and controller assemblies according to design specifications * Install safety components and signage as requiredThe successful contractor will be responsible for furnishing all labor, supervision, equipment, materials, tools, transportation, and incidental services necessary to complete the project. The Government anticipates issuing the solicitation in the coming weeks. The solicitation will contain the complete Statement of Work, technical specifications, evaluation criteria, and quote submission instructions. SAM Registration Interested vendors are encouraged to ensure they are registered in the System for Award Management (SAM.gov) prior to the solicitation release. Contractors at the time of quoting must: Have an active registration in SAM.gov. Have completed all required entity registrations and representations. Possess the technical capability and experience necessary to perform construction and installation services of a similar nature. Vendors that are not currently registered are encouraged to begin the registration process immediately, as registration and activation may require several days or longer. The Embassy is under no obligation to issue a solicitation or award a contract as a result of this notice. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with responding to this announcement or preparing for any future solicitation.
