- PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE: The National Park Service, Interior Regions 3/4/5, Ohio Major Acquisition Buying Office, intends to issue a Request for Quote (RFQ) for the Siding Replacement of the Grand Marais Officer in Charge Building for Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore in Munising, MI. Work will consist of providing all labor, materials, equipment, supervision, transportation, and incidentals necessary to remove and replace the existing wood siding and associated building envelope components. Work includes the removal and replacement of approximately 1,606 square feet of deteriorated custom wood dutch lap siding. New siding shall consist of custom cedar dutch lap siding that matches the existing profile. The Contractor shall verify the existing siding profile and, if necessary, identify a manufacturer capable of fabricating a custom knife to replicate the profile exactly. SOLICITATION NUMBER: 140P6426Q0100 PROJECT MAGNITUDE: Between $25,000 and $100,000. TYPE OF CONTRACT: This will be a firm-fixed price contract expected to be awarded to a prime contractor by early September 2026 with performance to begin in September 2026. Construction Wage Rate Requirements for Alger County, MI will apply. EVALUATION FACTORS: Price, Technical Capability, and Prior Experience North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) CODE CLASSIFICATION and SET ASIDE: The NAICS Code is 236220, and the size standard is $45.0 million. This project is set aside 100% for Total Small Businesses. SITE VISIT: A site visit date, time, and meeting location will be announced in the solicitation. Offerors are highly encouraged to attend the scheduled site visit to inspect the site and to ensure they fully understand the requirement and conditions that may affect the cost of the project, specifications, and performance. PUBLICIZING: The official solicitation and its attachments will be issued and available late July 2026 and will be posted to the Contract Opportunities/SAM.gov website at https://sam.gov/content/opportunities . The contracting office will not provide hardcopies or email copies of the solicitation. REGISTRATIONS: In order to be awarded a contract, an offeror must have an UEI number. Also, the offeror must be registered and active in the System for Award Management (SAM), website at http://www.sam.gov, and have completed their Online Representations and Certifications at the time of the solicitation close date once the solicitation is posted.
