These services include the adjudication of security clearances, processing of clearance packages, management of sensitive records, and personal identity verification. The justification for the sole-source award was made under the authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1, citing that only one responsible source could satisfy the agency's requirements. A critical requirement for the work is that all contractor personnel must possess an active DOE ""Q"" security clearance.
