Special Notice Special Notice Page 3 of 3 Special Notice *= Required Field Special Notice Page 1 of 3 NOTICE OF INTENT INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE: SIEMENS SYNGO.VIA SERVER MIGRATION AND SOFTWARE UPDATE SUPPORT SERVICE. THIS IS NOTICE OF INTENT TO SINGLE SOURCE FOR A SERVER MIGRATION SUPPORT AND SOFTWARE UPDATES FOR THE SIEMENS SYNGO.VIA SERVERS UTILIZED IN RADIOLOGY AND NUCLEAR MEDICINE FOR THE SAN DIEGO VA HEALTHCARE SYSTEM: This is not a request for competitive proposals. This is not a solicitation or request for offers. No solicitation package is available, and telephone requests will not be honored. ITEM # DESCRIPTION EST QTY UNIT 1 Syngo.via VB40 VB80 SW UPGRADE 1 unit 2 Syngo.via to Automate / Routine 1 unit The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), VISN 22 Long Beach, intends to award a new Firm Fixed Price, Single Source contract to Siemens Medical Solutions USA, the sole provider of software maintenance and support for its proprietary software products, which includes the Syngo.via software. Awarding this contract directly to Siemens Medical Solutions USA the sole provider of software maintenance and support for its proprietary software products, including Syngo.via ensures the VA maintains continuity of service and support for these critical systems, leverages Siemens technical expertise and exclusive access to necessary proprietary components, and aligns with government security and operational standards. This single source strategy minimizes service disruption, supports compliance, and streamlines contract and system management for both ongoing maintenance and future software updates The authority for applying this statute implemented for restricting competition on this procurement is FAR 8.405-6(a)(1)(i)(B) per the requirements of FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(i). The intent is to provide the server migration support and applicable software updates for the Siemens Syngo.via servers mentioned above on a single source basis. No solicitation will be posted to Contract Opportunities. The primary North American Classification System Code (NAICS) is 541511: Custom Computer Programming Services. The most current Business Size Rating for this NAICS is $34 Million. Capable parties may identify their interests and authorization to respond to this requirement by July 2nd, 2026, at 04:00 PM (PST). A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed award upon response to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Contracting Officer.
