Description
This is a Sources Sought notice issued by the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Network Contracting Office 20. The VA is seeking information from Small Businesses capable of painting exterior building elements at Boise VA Medical Center. This is for market research only and not a request for proposals or quotations. It does not obligate the Government to issue a solicitation or award a contract, and no reimbursement will be made for responding. The VA anticipates soliciting this requirement as a full and open competition under FAR Part 36 procedures. The anticipated NAICS code is 238320 Painting and Wall Covering Contractors. Interested parties should submit a brief capabilities statement demonstrating their ability to perform the required services. Responses will be used solely to help determine the appropriate acquisition strategy, including potential small business set aside. Other than small businesses may also respond. Responses are due no later than 6/24/2026, at 11:00 AM Pacific Standard Time and must be submitted via email to both Charlene.Johnson8@va.gov and Alan.Perez@va.gov. Note: Do not include Proprietary, classified, confidential, or sensitive information in responses. DESCRIPTION OF THE REQUIREMENT: The Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment, supervision, and incidentals necessary to prepare and paint designated exterior building elements at the Boise VA Medical Center, 500 West Fort Street, Boise, ID 83702. All work shall conform to the Statement of Work (SOW), manufacturer specifications, and applicable VA standards. The project is to prepare and paint various exterior building elements at the Boise VA Medical Center. The contractor must provide all labor, materials, equipment, and supervision, follow manufacturer instructions and VA standards, and coordinate all work with the COR and Facility Engineering. Key requirements include cleaning, repairing, and priming surfaces; protecting surrounding areas; matching existing colors; and fixing any damage caused during the work. All surfaces must be properly prepped by removing dirt, loose paint, and defects, then patched and spot primed as needed. Quality and safety requirements include compliance with VA/OSHA rules, use of low VOC coatings, maintaining daily cleanup, protecting the site, participating in inspections, and correcting deficiencies at no extra cost to the government.
