Description: The purpose of this contract is to provide lookout services to detect and report smokes or fires within and adjacent to the Umatilla National Forest. The lookouts shall be required to maintain a daily log of events and provide a written summary of events at the end of each contract year. Work shall include monitoring radio traffic, relaying radio messages, plotting and reporting fire start locations, providing fire behavior reports, reporting state of the weather and taking weather and fuel moisture readings when requested.
