- The Department of Interior, National Park Service, C&O Canal National Historical Park has a requirement for construction services to repair Inlet Lock 2 in Potomac, Maryland. Work consists of replacing deteriorated lock gates and miter sill and repairing stone masonry, remove sediment and debris around the gates and locks, repairs to the berms upstream of Violette's Lock (Lock 23). Solicitation is expected to post after May 1, 2026, with further details. This is a pre-solicitation notice only and does not constitute a solicitation and does not obligate the government to award a contract, nor does it obligate the government to pay for any proposal preparation costs. Accordingly, no response is due at this time, nor will any questions of a technical or contractual nature be answered. Specific instructions on submitting responses will be contained in solicitation documents. A date and time for a site visit will be specified in the solicitation. A firm-fixed priced contract award is anticipated.
