Description
IAW FAR 5.203(a), the National Park Service hereby posts this synopsis to be active for a period of 15 days. This is a Pre-Solicitation Synopsis. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION; therefore, no response to this Notice is required. The National Park Service intends to issue an Invitation for Bid (IFB) for Well Plugging at Jean Lafitte National Historical Park (JELA), Jefferson Parish, Louisiana. Work consists of reclaiming three oil and gas well sites, including plugging and abandonment of the wells at JELA. SOLICITATION NUMBER: When publicized, the solicitation number will be 140PS126B0006. PROJECT MAGNITUDE: Between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000.000.00. TYPE OF CONTRACT: This will be a firm-fixed price Construction contract. The acquisition method will most likely be FAR 14 Sealed Bidding. Construction Wage Rate Requirements for Jefferson Parish, LA will apply. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) CODE Classification and SET ASIDE: The NAICS is 213112 The project is set-aside for 100% Total Small Business. SITE VISIT: A site visit date, time, and meeting location will be announced in the solicitation. Offerors are highly encouraged to attend in order to inspect the site and ensure they fully understand the requirement and conditions. PUBLICIZING: The official solicitation and its attachments will most likely be issued and available in May 2026. REGISTRATIONS: In order to be awarded a contract, an offeror must have a UEI number. Additionally, the offeror must be registered and active in SAM.Gov and have completed their Online Representations and Certifications at the time of award. If you are interested in performing this work, please respond to the associated Sources Sought by completing the attachment on the Sources Sought Notice, found on SAM.Gov under a similar title, and returning to Mr. Cole Johnson, Contracting Officer, at Cole_Johnson@ios.doi.gov before the closing date of 4/29/2026.
