Description

The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst, NJ intends to solicit, negotiate, and award a firm-fixed price contract on a limited competitive basis with the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), Maurer Magnetic AG (Maurer) (CAGE SPF57) and their approved authorized distributor for the procurement of MM HE1 Small Area Demagnetizer (P/N DE-MM-T-00300, NSN: 4940-01-729-9637) and MM HE2 Large Area Demagnetizer (P/N DE-MM-T-00320, NSN: 4940-01-725-2673), for PMA-260. The Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) of the required Peculiar Support Equipment (PSE) is Maurer Magnetic AG (CAGE SPF57). Maurer has an approved authorized distributor for these parts. Maurer and their authorized distributor are the only sources capable of providing these parts because Maurer Magnetic AG owns the proprietary rights to the engineering data and detailed product drawings for the required PSE. NAWCADLKE intends to procure these items under authority of 10 USC 3204(a)(1). No solicitation package is available for this procurement. This notification is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all responses received within fifteen (15) days after the date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received as a result of the notice of intent will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Information provided herein is subject to change and in no way binds the Government to solicit an award of a contract.
