Description
SUMMARY: Department of Veterans Affairs, Veterans Health Administration, Network Contracting Office 5, is issuing this request for sources sought notice in order to identify vendors that are interested in and capable of providing contractor services. For a contractor to repair 3 RF Shielded Doors for the Washington DC VAMC. Doors are for the MRI department. Review last page for details on how to respond to this Sources Sought Notice. Scope of Work: Project Title: Repair of Three RF Shielded Doors Location: Washington DC VA Medical Center, 50 Irving Street NW, Washington, DC 20422 Reference: MRI 26-163 1. Background: The Washington DC VA Medical Center requires maintenance and repair services for three (3) RF shielded doors located within the facility. These doors are critical for maintaining the integrity of MRI operations and ensuring proper shielding. 2. Scope of Work: Universal Shielding Corp will perform the following services: Door 1: Replace latching mechanism (includes bearings) Clean, align, and lubricate the door Door 2 & Door 3: Replace perimeter fingerstock and sill fingerstock Replace all bearings Clean, align, and lubricate both doors 3. Period of Performance: The total estimated duration for the work is approximately 4 hours per door, totaling 12 hours for all three doors. 4. Contractor Requirements: Provide all necessary labor, tools, equipment, and materials. Perform work using two qualified technicians. Work to be completed during overtime hours as required. Ensure compliance with VA safety and security protocols. 5. Deliverables: Fully functional and properly shielded RF doors. Documentation of work performed. Certification(s) / Licenses for meeting the local requirements to provide these services at the DC VAMC (if applicable) 8. Confirmation that your organization has the capability & expertise to meet the performance requirements while complying with applicable limitations in subcontracting by responding to the questions below with your response: a. Do you intend to self-perform this effort? b. If you are located outside the immediate area, how will you self-perform? c. Or do you intend to subcontract work under this contract? d. If you intend to subcontract work under this contract, how will you ensure compliance with the limitations on subcontracting?
