- N0016426Q0074 � SOLE SOURCE - Radio Frequency Transmission � PSC 5985� NAICS 334419 ISSUE DATE 02-MAR-2026 � CLOSING DATE 20-MAR-2026 � 6:00 PM Eastern Time ITEM DESCRIPTION- Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) Crane has a requirement for a quantity of four (4) Radio Frequency Transmission Switches part number N7-413D481T, NSN 5985-01-231-7941 with two (2) options for a quantity of three (3) additional switches to be purchased in option periods of one year after initial award and again two years after initial award The proposed contract action is for the supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with one source, Ducommun Labarge Technologies Inc., Cage Code 08719, of Carson, California, under the authority of FAR 12.201 for commercial off the shelf property. The requirement is being solicited on a sole source basis because Ducommun Labarge Technologies is the Original Equipment Manufacturer for the AN/ALM-233 Radio Frequency Transmission Switch, part number N7-413D481T, NSN 5985-01-231-7941, and is unwilling to sell the data rights to the government. These switches are used in the AN/ALM-233 countermeasure test set used to maintain the AN/ALQ-184 Electronic Countermeasures POD. The countermeasure Pod is used on aircraft like the A-10 and F16. The A-10 and F-16 aircraft are operated by the U.S. Air Force and used as fleet defense mission. A delay in the purchase of these items would negatively impact the ability of the A-10 and F-16 to perform their current and future missions with maximum effectiveness. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement or proposal which shall be considered by the agency. However, a determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this solicitation is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of re-evaluating the justification for sole source or limitation of sources and making a determination to change the acquisition strategy to a competitive procurement. The Solicitation and amendments for this sole source action will be posted to sam.gov. This solicitation is being issued pursuant to the procedures at FAR Part 12.201 as a written Request for Quote. Synopsis exception FAR 5.202(a)(13) applies and Solicitation Number N0016426Q0074 is hereby issued as an attachment hereto. Contractors must be properly registered in the System for Award Management (SAM).
