This notice does NOT constitute a request for proposals, request for quote, or invitation for bid. No formal solicitation document exists at this time. We are seeking information for market research purposes only. The Government will not pay for any information solicited. The Government is seeking information for market research purposes only. Your responses to the information requested will assist the Government in determining the appropriate acquisition method. A solicitation is not currently available. The Government may or may not issue solicitation documents. The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office 2 (NCO 2) has a requirement to provide bread and bakery products for two (2) VA Medical Centers within the Veterans Integrated Service Network 2 (VISN 2) New York/New Jersey VA Health Care Network: VA New Jersey Health Care System East Orange Campus Basement / Main Kitchen 385 Tremont Avenue East Orange, NJ 07018 VA New Jersey Health Care System Lyons Campus Building 54, Main Kitchen 151 Knollcroft Rd Lyons, NJ 07939-5001 The requirement is detailed in the Statement of Work section of this document. The NAICS Code is 311812 - Commercial Bakeries. Interested Contractors are reminded that in accordance with FAR 4.12, prospective Contractors shall complete electronic annual representations and certifications in conjunction with FAR 4.11 required registration in the System for Award Management (SAM) database prior to award of a contract. Part of the purpose of this sources sought is to determine the viability of set aside to a specific socio-economic category (service-disabled veteran owned small business, veteran owned small business, women owned small business, HUB Zone, 8(a), small business). Interested parties MUST provide company/individual name, a capability statement, examples of same or similar work performed at other facilities, Unique Entity ID from SAM.gov and address, point of contact and social-economic category. Include letters from Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) if your firm is an authorized distributor. If contractor is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), a Veteran-Owned Small Business (VOSB), or any other special category of contractors, then contractor is responsible for providing documentation in support of this. This information will be used to determine the viability of a set aside for this requirement. If any of the requested information is not supplied with the response, this may result in the contractor not being considered in the Government s Procurement Strategy. Statement of Work for Bread and Bakery Products Veterans Integrated Service Network 2 (VISN 2) VA New Jersey Healthcare System Overview: VA New Jersey Health Care System (VANJHCS) requires fresh, high-quality bread as well as other baked goods delivered multiple times per week to meet the Nutrition and Food Services department s bread needs to support the nutritional requirements of their inpatient Veteran residents located at: VA New Jersey Health Care System East Orange Campus Basement / Main Kitchen 385 Tremont Avenue East Orange, NJ 07018 VA New Jersey Health Care System Lyons Campus Building 54, Main Kitchen 151 Knollcroft Rd Lyons, NJ 07939-5001 The VA intends to award a firm fixed price contract for the provision of bread and bakery products. The quantities listed in the attached Pricing Schedule are estimated requirements for the Nutrition & Food Services. 2. Scope of Work A. Orders shall not be placed more than 5 days prior to required delivery date, with the Government reserving the right to adjust orders 24 hours prior to scheduled delivery. Orders will be placed by the Nutrition and Food Service Point of Contact (POC) or his/her designee. Each order will show ship to and bill to addresses and purchase order number (if required). B. Quantities shown on previous pages represent the quantities estimated to be ordered over the delivery period. Quotes will be evaluated based on the estimated quantities. Actual quantities ordered may vary among the line items.
