- Description
- A0001 - This Amendment is to add the Question and Answers(Attachment 7) as well as the Site Visit Sign in Sheet(Attachment 8) for the Subject line Project. Project Summary: The White River National Forest may issue a Solicitation for East Beaver Yellow Jacket Road Work (Forest Road 250.2) in FY2026. The work may include but is not limited to road vegetation clearing and grubbing (brushing), road reconstruction and reconditioning, culvert removals and installations, construction of concrete mat stream ford crossing, borrow source development, gravel haul and placement, sign installations, gate removal and installation, and cattleguard removal and installation. This is not a solicitation and in no way commits the Government to award a contract. The Government does not intend to award a contract(s) based solely on this site visit nor does it intend to pay for any costs incurred in response to this announcement. The intent of this notice is to ensure that prospective vendors may see the areas prior to heavy snowfall and issuing the solicitation. This solicitation should be issued no later than March of 2026. The work anticipated under any contract resulting from the solicitation will be started as soon as conditions on-the-ground are favorable for the prosecution of the work next spring (estimate Late June starting date). Site Visit Information: When: On Friday, September 26, 2025 at 10:30 a.m, MT., a Forest Service site visit will be conducted, interested parties will meet at the intersection with County Road 8 and Forest Road 250.2. Those participating in the site visit must furnish their own transportation. Forest Road 250.2 can be impassible when wet and is a high clearance 4x4 road, standard passenger vehicles without high clearance and 4-wheel drive are not suitable for traversing this road. Please inform the White River Engineering Office (Bret Conant bret.conant@usda.gov) if you plan to attend no later than noon on September 24, 2025 and provide your name and contact information to the name listed above The function of the Forest Service site visit is to show the on-the-ground location of the work areas, boundaries, other in-place markers, and the routes of travel that may be utilized in going to and from the work areas. Directions and Access: Barring any unforeseen circumstances, and weather permitting, we intend on traversing the 250.2 road from CR 8 to CR 18. From Meeker, travel on CR 8 for 19.1 miles, then turn left on CR 115, meet here (Latitude; 39.975876, Longitude; -107.635955) After all parties are accounted for, we will travel to the Forest Boundary, the beginning of the project. Interested parties desiring to visit units on their own should coordinate travel with the White River Engineering Office (Bret Conant bret.conant@usda.gov ). Maps are available at the Supervisors Office. If weather or other unforeseen circumstances require rescheduling or cancellation, the FS will notify interested parties on or before EOB on September 25th, 2025.
