Description
CONTRACT OPPORTUNITIES Title: Notice of Intent for Repair of a Perkin Elmer ICP-OES Avio 500 (serial number 081S1808172) THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS/QUOTATIONS. This notice is for informational purposes only and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government. This procurement will be processed pursuant to FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items and FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. No solicitation will be issued. Description: Task requirements might include but are not limited to the following: a new torch pneumatic board or other unquoted parts. It is possible once the contractor is on-site that different parts may be responsible for the failure and that further parts and labor time might be required. It is also possible that the torch pneumatics component listed will not be needed. They have set an initial labor time of 4 hours and a base service charge. The base service charge covers 6 hours of travel/labor. The round-trip distance from the OEM hub is 6 hours. All parts must be OEM and at the conclusion the unit must be operating within OEM specifications. A factory trained and currently certified technician is required as well as OEM parts. The technician must have complete working knowledge of the Avio 500 and the software. Only trained and currently certified Perkin Elmer Avio 500 service providers can service this instrument. The contractor will conduct repairs independently without government supervision. The repair will be done in steps evaluating the effectiveness of each new part before moving on the other parts. Potential sources who believe they can provide the services listed are invited to submit substantiating documentation in writing to the identified point of contact. Information received will be considered solely for the purposes of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. A determination by the Government to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely at the discretion of the Government. Responses are to be received within seven (7) calendar days of this notice. No telephone calls are being accepted. The United States Department Agriculture (USDA), Agricultural Research Service (ARS), Pacific West Area, intends to award on a single source basis. Purchase order type will be a Firm Fixed Price awarded to Perkin Elmer. This is for repair of a Perkin Elmer ICP-OES Avio 500. NAICS Code is 334516. One time repair estimated to be completed by 10/30/2025. Award is in accordance FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i).
