- Description
- Intent to sole source On behalf of the Jesse Brown VA Medical Center, 820 S Damen Avenue, Chicago, Illinois, the Great Lakes Acquisition Center intends to negotiate a sole source contract with Singulomics Corporation for services required for a research project involving highly complex and coordinated workflow that spans tissue-specific (brain regions, small intestine, colon), single nuclei RNA sequencing, metabolomic profiling, and integrative data analysis across multiple omic layers. The scientific goals require that transcriptomic, metabolomic, and microbial datasets derived from the mouse gut and brain tissue that are processed in a harmonized fashion to enable systems-level insights into gut-brain communication. The statutory authority permitting other than full and open competition for the requirement is 41 U.S.C. 1901 Simplified acquisition procedures as implemented in FAR 13.106-3(b)(3)(i), only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This notice is not a solicitation for offers, nor is it a request for proposals; however, if a vendor feels it can meet the needs of the Government, a capability statement with the following information shall be submitted to the Contracting Officer at Michael.Hrdi@va.gov by 10:00AM (CST - WISCONSIN) 9/25/2025. Demonstrated expertise in: Murine neurogastroenterology models, including standardized tissue extraction protocols that preserve region-specific molecular signatures. Coordinated multi-omic data generation, encompassing RNA-seq and untargeted or targeted metabolomics, with a capacity to incorporate microbiome profiling. Integrated bioinformatics pipelines that can merge transcriptomic, metabolic, and microbial signatures from matched samples into a single analytical framework. Cross-tissue data synthesis, capable of linking central (brain) and peripheral (gut) molecular pathways to illuminate gut-brain interactions. TELEPHONIC INQUIRIES WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. THIS INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR A PROPOSAL OR A QUOTATION. *If your submission exceeds 8 MB, send in multiple e-mails. Utilizing a read-receipt is advised. Information received will be used to determine whether it is in the Governments best interest to conduct a competitive procurement.
