Request for Information Announcement For Ship To Shore Connector (SSC) Communications Headset. The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Panama City Division (NSWCPCD) is conducting a survey of potential sources for the Landing Craft Air Cushion (LCAC) program. NSWCPCD is seeking sources for a commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) Communications Headset for a system upgrade effort. This is a REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) for a Communications Headset for the Ship to Shore Connector (SSC). THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS. Key Parameters include but not limited to: Features: Passive noise attenuation rating of 24 dB or greater Volume control Noise cancelling microphone (MIL-M-26542/2 USAF) Electrical: Earphone Impedance: 10 ohms Earphone sensitivity: 90 dB SPL on flat plate coupler, re 1mW input @ 1KHz Earphone Frequency: 100 � 5,500 Hz Microphone Impedance: 5 ohms +/- 20% Microphone Sensitivity .05 - .11mV at 1KHz with input of 103 dB SPL Microphone Frequency Response: 300-3000Hz Physical: Weight 19 oz or less Over the ear earphones Hinged adjustable microphone Environmental: Note: Unit has been qualified for the following testing(goal): Operating temperature: -40C to +55C MIL-STD-810F: Environmental Engineering MIL-STD-704A: Aircraft Electric Power Characteristics MIL-STD-464: Electromagnetic Environmental Effects Requirements MIL-STD-461E Control of Electromagnetic Interference, Characteristics of Subsystems and Equipment Hazards of Electromagnetic Radiation of Ordnance (HERO) Low operating temperature: -40C High operating temperature: +55C Shock MIL-STD-810, Method 516.6, Procedure I Vibration MIL-STD-810, Method 514.6 Procedure 1 Dust MIL-STD-810, Method 510.5. Humidity MIL-STD-810 Method 507.5 Salt Spray MIL-STD-810, Method 509.4 Color ASTM F1166 RESPONSES: Interested parties may provide electronic or paper submittals to be received by the Government by 14 September 2025.
