Request for Information Announcement For Ship To Shore Connector (SSC) Radio Intercom Interface Unit (RIIU). The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Panama City Division (NSWC PCD) is conducting a survey of potential sources for the Ship to Shore Connector (SSC) program. NSWC PCD is seeking sources for a commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) Interior Communication/Radio intercom interface Unit (RIIU) for a system upgrade effort. This is a REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) for an integrated voice communications system for the SSC Program. Key Parameters include but not limited to: Features: Must interface with Six single user audio connections points (threshold) Three tactical radios (threshold) One portable combat radio On interior communications wireless base station One public address system One Wireless communications system Audio recording devices Alarm and announcing system with accurately produces standard naval supervisory tones Alarm and announcing system that provides public address and alarming capacities including fire and collision. Must route active audio to one ear and monitor audio to the other ear, selectable by the user at the access point Full duplex Support digital and analog voice signals Analog signal shall be converted to digital values utilizing a minimum of 12 bits of resolution System shall prevent unencrypted communications to connecting to encrypted communications Electrical: Input Power Voltage Range: 18-32 VDC (28 VDC nominal) Input Power: 160 lbs (threshold) ?50 lbs. (objective) Environmental: Note: Unit has been qualified for the following testing(goal): MIL-STD-704A: Aircraft Electric Power Characteristics MIL-STD-464: Electromagnetic Environmental Effects Requirements Hazards of Electromagnetic Radiation of Ordnance (HERO) Dust MIL-STD-810, Method 510.5. NOTE: Unit has been qualified for the following testing (goal): MIL-STD-461F Electromagnetic Interference (EMI), Navy surface ship applications: CE101 CE102 CS101 CS106 CS114 CS116 RE101 RE102 RS101 RS103 MIL-STD-810F tailored environmental specifications Low Temperature: -25�C, operational High Temperature +55�C, operational Humidity: 95%, non-condensing, operational Vibration: 10 to 2000 Hz, operational Shock: 10Hz@ 5Gs, 500Hz@40G�s, and 2000Hz@40 Gs, operational RESPONSES: Interested parties may provide electronic or paper submittals to be received by the Government by 14 September 2025. There is no specific format or outline that submittals must follow. Each response must reference the RFI title.
