Description
This is a sources-sought notice for market research purposes only. Do not send proposals in response to this notice. USDA�s Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS), Acquisition and Asset Management Division (AAMD) Acquisition Branch, seeks information concerning small business firms interested in competing for a contract to perform Construction Inspection Contractor (CIC) services during the construction phase of a project in Ames, IA. The work includes ... The CIC is designated and authorized by the Contracting Officer to monitor the performance of the construction contractor. The CIC�s primary role is to provide Quality Assurance that the construction project is being constructed as designed, and to provide oversight of the Quality Control Plan of the construction contractor. CIC services are defined as services including but not be limited to attending or conducting pre-construction and progress meetings, reviewing and approving shop drawings and product data submittals, construction inspections, monthly progress reports to include photographs, reviewing payrolls and invoices, reviewing and approving change order proposals, responding to requests for information, preparation of punch lists, performing final inspections, preparing and/or reviewing operation and maintenance manuals, and coordinating and consolidating warranty matrixes, also validating substantial completion and project acceptance. The CIC must be a Certified Construction Contract Administrator certified by the Construction Specifications Institute or have equivalent training or experience. Interested small business concerns must provide sufficient written information to indicate their capacity and capability to successfully perform these services. Additionally, please indicate whether you are a small disadvantaged business, a HUBZone, a service-disabled veteran-owned, or a woman-owned small business. The NAICS code for these services is 541330. The small business size standard is $25.5 million. If you are an interested small business concern, please provide the following information: 1) business name and point of contact 2) UEI 3) evidence of HUBZone, SDVO, 8(a), or other small business concern status and 4) a statement of capability (no more than 10 pages) that demonstrates the ability to meet the requirements specified in the above description of services. No requests for capability briefings will be honored as a result of this notice. The information provided will not be used as a part of any subsequent solicitation requirement. Interested sources are responsible for appropriately marking information if it is proprietary in nature. Responses to this notice are due at noon CT on June 18, 2025, to the attention of Jim Roloff, Contracting Officer, via e-mail to james.g.roloff@usda.gov.
