QUESTIONS: Please direct any questions, via email to alexander.c.lambis.civ@us.navy.mil Sources Sought The Naval Surface Warfare Center Carderock Division (NSWCCD) has a requirement for preservation, inspection, repair, and maintenance services for the Southeast Alaska Acoustic Measurement Facility (SEAFAC) Static Site IX-527 and IX-528 Barges located in Back Island, near Ketchikan, Alaska. This requirement will include towing these barges to the contractor facility in order to commence the work. NSWCCD intends to award an Indefinite Quantity/Idefinite Delivery (IDIQ) contract to overhaul both barges. The IX-527 barge will be included in the first task order (TO), awarded at the time of the IDIQ. Market Research is being conducted to determine all potential socio-economic small businesses and large businesses interested in, and capable of, providing the support services identified herein. The Draft SOW for IX-527 is being provided to solicit comments and questions from potential offerors and will remain posted until 1 April 2025. The attached Market Research Questionnaire is intended to assist the Government in determining the probability of large or small business prime contractors responding to a future Request for Proposal (RFP) to provide the required services. Please note the Place of Performance Location includes Seattle, Washington, AND surrounding areas. The Government has received requests for pictures of the barges via email. We do not have publicly releasable detailed pictures at this time.
