- Description
- The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office 7, intends to issue a sole-source firm fixed-price task order to Johnson Control Inc., located in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The task order is anticipated to be awarded under Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 8; a Limited Sources Justification has been prepared. Metasys is a web-based control system programmed and supervised by Johnson Controls. The system utilizes proprietary Metasys software for programming and proprietary tools to maintain the system components that control all HVAC equipment throughout the facility. This procurement is being conducted in accordance with FAR 8.405, Item peculiar to one manufacturer. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code utilized for this procurement is 333415 Air-Conditioning and Warm Air Heating Equipment and Commercial and Industrial Refrigeration Equipment Manufacturing. Size Standard: 1250 Employees. This notice of intent does not constitute a request for competitive quotes. However, contractors may submit a capability statement, which will be considered by the Contracting Officer to determine whether to continue with the sole source or competitive procurement. Interested parties are kindly requested to submit information via email in response to the Intent to Sole Source document for Johnson Controls, Inc., 36C24725Q0557 Chiller Plant PM and Metasys Support . The capability documentation should include general information and technical background describing in detail the prospective contractor s capabilities and experience that will demonstrate the ability to support this requirement. Such responses must be received no later than April 30, 2025, at 4:00 PM EST. All responses from responsible sources will be considered. Forward responses by email to Don.Grier@va.gov. A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses received to this notice of intent is solely within the discretion of the Government. The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office 7 will not be responsible for any costs incurred by interested parties in responding to this notice of intent.
