THIS IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION ONLY AND YOUR RESPONSE IS NOT AN OFFER. THIS REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) / SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE DOES NOT COMMIT THE GOVERNMENT TO ANY INCURRED COSTS IN PREPARATION OF ANY SUBMISSION TO THIS NOTICE, OR TO CONTRACT FOR SERVICES. PURPOSE: The purpose of this Request for Information (RFI) is to obtain industry capabilities, to determine interest in participation, and to determine the availability to provide services for the 31st CS Aviano AB - Italy. The information from this market research will help the 31st CS with their acquisition strategy and draft statement of work. Firms are strongly encouraged to provide comments, questions, and suggestions relative to the project scope, methodologies and technologies, and approach. Any input that businesses or interested parties would like to provide will be reviewed and considered. SCOPE/DESCRIPTION OF WORK: Enclosed is the draft Statement of Objectives (SOO) defining the requirements for the Contractor to engineer, furnish, install, and test (EFI&T) a premises wiring upgrade to new NIPR Cat-6 cabling for the 2nd floor of Building 110 (B110) at Aviano AB, Italy. The premises wiring upgrade shall include the provision of new uninterruptible power supply (UPS) and Ethernet switch equipment. The Contractor shall remove the existing outdated and abandoned-in-place (AIP) Cat-3/Cat-5 cabling from the building, including any residual materials, upon completion. Special attention must be reserved to paragraph 4.5 of SOO addressing mandatory equipment to be furnished. Offerors are encouraged to provide any additional information related to the installation, removal, upgrade, etc. Capability statements shall be no more than seven (7) pages, 12pt font, Times New Roman, double spaced. Provide a listing of all Government-Wide Acquisition Contracts and Federal Supply Schedule contracts your firm previously held and/or currently holds. Please include the contract number and expiration date for each. We need to know if there is availability to perform this requirement in Italy, how long does it take to provide such installation, and approximately how many people could be involved in the project, and if the guidelines/data provided in the attached Draft SOO are good enough or if additional clarification would be required. Please submit capability statements and all questions and responses to kupono_duke.blake.1@us.af.mil (+39 0434 307466) or gualtiero.casadio.it@us.af.mil (+39 0434 307931).
