- The Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Maritime Norfolk at Norfolk Naval Shipyard (NNSY) intends to award a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) Single Award Contract with Lowest Price Technically Acceptable (LPTA) Evaluation Factors for the item listed below. The required item is for commercial items prepared in accordance with the information in FAR Part 13 and FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with the additional information included in this notice. The Contract Line Items (CLINs) are as follows: 0001 LATERAL WYE QUANTITY: 4 U/I: EA 3 INCH CLASS 125# RED/NAVAL BRASS 45 DEGREE Y-BEND (LATERAL WYE FNPT 0002 2 INCH BLUE K-TOUGH HOSE ASSEMBLY, SUCTION AND DISCHARGE HOSE FUEL TRANSFER QUANTITY: 30 U/I: EA 2� I.D. NOMINAL X 2.57� O.D. HOSE MUST HAVE A WORKING PRESSURE OF 150 PSI (MINIMUM). MUST HAVE A MINIMUM BEND RADIUS OF 6�. 1.00-1.20 LBS. MAXIMUM WEIGHT PER FOOR WITHOUT COUPLINGS. HOSE MUST BE CAPABLE OF TAKING A FULL VACUUM HOSE SHALL BE DESIGNED TO HANDLE OIL AND REFINED FUELS TRANSFERS. MUST BE RESISTANT TO WEATHER, OIL, SOLVENTS, AND MILD ACIDS HOSE TYPE SHALL BE BLUE K-TOUGH WIRE REINFORCED HIGH PRESSURE SUCTION & DISCHARGE HOSE AND MUST HAVE THE FOLLOWING PROPERTIES: Tube: Clear phthalate-free PVC Cover: Blue phthalate-free PVC Reinforcement: High tensile strength yarn with galvanized steel wire helix Temperature Range: -5�F to 150�F (-20�C to 65�C) HOSES ARE TO BE PROVIDED IN 50 FOOT LENGTHS (+12� / -12�) HOSE MUST HAVE A MALE COUPLING (AA59326/2A-9-B or equivalent) ON ONE END AND A FEMALE HOSE COUPLING (AA59326/6A-9-B or equivalent) ON THE OTHER END. FITTINGS MUST BE RED BRASS ALLOY C84400. COUPLING MATERIAL SHALL BE RED BRASS ALLOY C84400 ONLY. NOTE: EACH COUPLINGS SHALL BE PERMANTLY/MECHANICALLY ATTACHED BY EXTERNAL CRIMPING, UTILIZING A STAINLESS STEEL CRIMP FERRULE IN ACCORDANCE WITH COUPLING MANUFACTURER�S RECOMMENDATION. EACH HOSE ASSEMBLY SHALL HAVE, AT A MINIMUM, THE MFG�S NAME, CONTRACT NUMBER AND PRESSURE RATING ON LAYLINE IN PERMANENT INK OR MOLDED INTO COVERING. SUPPLIER MUST PROVIDE WRITTEN CERTIFICATION THAT HOSE ASSEMBLIES (HOSE AND FITTING) HAVE BEEN HYDROSTATICALLY TESTED AT 150 PSIG WITH CLEAN, FRESH WATER FOR 30 MINUTES WITH ZERO LEAKS, WEEPS, END FITTING SLIPPAGE AND/OR BULGES. A COPY OF THIS CERTIFICATION IS TO BE SENT TO CODE 135, BUILDING 276, AND A COPY IS TO BE SENT TO CODE 532 TO BE FILED WITH CONTRACT. AT NO COST TO THE GOVERNMENT, NORFOLK NAVAL SHIPYARD RESERVES THE RIGHT TO REQUEST A SAMPLE ASSEMBLY FOR TESTING AND EVALUATION PURPOSES FROM ANY OR ALL OFFERORS DURING EVALUATION PROCESS.
