Description
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New England District is issuing a set aside for certified small business contractors for Bulkhead Replacement to Support the Raymark Superfund Site Remediation in Stratford, Connecticut. The NAICS code for the work described below is 237990. The project is planned to be issued in spring 2025 with construction to begin in Summer 2025. The estimated magnitude of the construction project is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. The project area is the part of the Raymark Superfund Site on a 2 acre (approximate) privately owned parcel off of Lockwood Avenue in Stratford, CT. Work for this project will likely include, but not be limited to, the following: Installation of approximately 515 LF of new 20-foot-deep steel sheet pile bulkhead with a timber cap. Regrading and installation of rip rap on the water side of the bulkhead. Installation of filter stone material, and geotextile on the upland portion of the bulkhead for drainage. Mobilization of equipment for construction from the land side of the bulkhead. Loam and seed disturbed areas. There is no excavation of soils expected for this work. The work zone is free of surface contamination, however contaminated soils are to be assumed 4� below ground surface; plans and protections should be in place to not expose or bring those materials to the surface. This is not an invitation for bids at this time. The solicitation requirements and contract documents to include instructions for submission and the response date will be available in or about 30 days. Neither telephonic, mailed nor fax requests for hard copies will be accepted. The solicitation will only be available online; in order to view the solicitation offerors must access the System for Award Management website (www.sam.gov). To download the solicitation, offerors must access the Procurement Integrated Enterprise Environment (https://piee.eb.mil/), solicitation module. Amendments, if any, to the solicitation will be made available at the PIEE website. Registrants are responsible for the accuracy of the information on the SAM.gov Registration List.
