Generates unique confirmation codes for each scan, which can be entered into the EMR. Boot-up time less the 2 minutes. Frequent self-calibration Includes connection ports for scanning tools. Body Scanner: Contains six evenly distributed radiolucent antennae placed under the patient. Detects tagged sponges within the surgical field. Provides hands-free scanning for in-vivo detection in 15 seconds or less. Room Scanner: Handheld, motion-based device. Locates missing sponges beyond the sterile field, such as in linens and trash bins. Functions as both an antenna and receiver for detecting tagged cotton items. Tagged Cotton Compatibility: Compatible with single-use cotton disposables with attached RF tags for identification. Low-Energy Radiofrequency (RF) Signal: Detects surgical sponges left in or around the patient within the surgical field. User-Friendly Interface: Produces audible and visual alerts signaling the presence of objects fitted with an RF tag. Provides instruction and feedback on scanning processes and results. Stores data that can be accessed to evaluate specific scan results. Integration: Seamlessly integrates into existing OR processes without causing significant workflow disruptions. Sensitivity and Specificity: Detects missing sponges with high accuracy, reducing the risk of retained surgical items. Bilateral intramuscular injection sites. The government is in search of products that are readily available to meet these requirements, the lead time for the materials involved, and if there are additional features/capabilities that exceed the requirements.
