Synthetic Training Environment Software (STE-SW) Technology Adoption Market Research & Technical Exchange Forum I. DISCLAIMER This is an invitation to attend a market research & technical exchange forum. The U.S. Army Program Executive Office for Simulation, Training, and Instrumentation (PEO - STRI), Project Manager Synthetic Environment (PM SE) requests that all interested parties from Industry, Government, and Academia respond with their feedback in support of shaping advancing the Armys Synthetic Training Environment Software (STE - SW) future simulation technology investments that more rapidly incorporate industry capabilities used in the commercial marketplace. This market research & technical exchange forum shall not be considered an Invitation for Bid, Request for Task Execution Plan, Request for Quotation, or a Request for Proposal. There is no obligation on the part of the Government to acquire any products or services described in this market research & technical information exchange or its responses. Responses to this market research & technical information exchange will be treated only as information for the Government to consider. There is no payment for direct or indirect costs that are incurred in responding to this market research & technical information exchange. This request does not constitute a solicitation for proposals or the authority to enter negotiations to award a contract. No funds have been authorized, appropriated, or received for this effort. II. SUMMARY OF MARKET RESEARCH & TECHNICAL INFORMATION EXCHANGE The Government requests that all interested parties participate in collaborating in a bilateral feedback session. This collaboration is to ascertain across the horizon of modeling, simulation, training and gaming industries and communities of interest that will shape PEO STRIs investments, adoption, and employment of innovation supporting scaling and rapid delivery using industry backed accelerated approaches. Areas of transformation across the Army and PEO STRI are being enabled through Modular Open Systems Approach (MOSA), Data Centricity, Artificial Intelligence, and rapid continuous integration/deployment (CI/CD) of multiple capabilities in cohesive manner. III. PROPOSED DISCUSSION POINTS & AGENDA Areas for technical discussion include: Technical infrastructure (e.g. cloud native deployments, edge capabilities, networks, etc) Core STE software simulation (e.g. game engines, terrain, data fabrics/hubs, SDKs/PDKs, scalability, extensible open APIs, authoritative data sets) Models, Behaviors, Services (e.g. ability to rapidly scale and leverage validated models through strangling or other advanced methods) Capability UI/UX (e.g. overhead, native/embedded integration, linkage to other Army systems/data sets, span of control/immersion) It is expected that each of these areas of investigation will propound considerations that the Government should continue to explore, pilot, and advance to ensure STE aligns to industry advancements to enable Army readiness. The meeting is to be held on 1 April 2025, starting at 0800 and concluding at 1200. Meeting is being held in Conference Room 321 A/B, at University of Central Floridas Partnership III building, 3039 Technology Parkway, Orlando, FL 32826.
