- Description
- SUBJECT: The Government intends on the procurement of the AN/ALQ-161 RF Common Module (Band 7), NSN: 5895-01-174-5742, P/N: 435346-1. The AN/ALQ161 RF Common Module is a signal processing unit capable of handling multiple RF signal inputs, splitting and switching paired outputs into a dual RF output and provides video detection concurrently. This action will result in a Requirements type contract. The contract will consist of 5 Ordering Periods and a First Article Ordering Period as shown below: NSN 5895-01-174-5742, P/N: 435346-1: Basic Ordering Period (First Article) - 2 BEQ, Basic Ordering Period (Production Units) 20 BEQ, Ordering Period 1 - 6 BEQ, Ordering Period 2 - 6 BEQ, Ordering Period 3 - 5 BEQ , Ordering Period 4 - 6 BEQ. ITEM DESCRIPTION The RF Common Module within the ALQ-161 Electronic Warfare System functions as a complex signal processing unit. This asset is capable of handling multiple RF signal inputs, splitting and switching the paired outputs into a dual RF output, and provide video detection concurrently. This module requires integrated Transistor to Transistor Logic (TTL) compatible drivers in order to integrate into the ALQ-161 EW system. IMPEDIMENT TO COMPETITION The original equipment manufacturer (OEM) for this item was EDO Corporation, now L3Harris (CAGE 82340). L3Harris maintains the RF Common Module configuration by part number. The Government owns the specification control drawing for this asset. This includes technical information that describes the physical dimensions, design, and construction of the RF module. The drawing also includes the environmental, electrical, reliability, and quality conformance requirements for manufacturing a Form Fit Function and Interface (F3I) replacement of this asset. The contractor shall meet the specified performance requirements and possess the required technical capabilities needed to produce this item and ensure compatibility of the equipment with the ALQ-161. INTEREST Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement no later than 07 April 2025 by emailing todd.stimus@us.af.mil and/or andrew.peacock.2@us.af.mil. The Government intends to procure these items using Full and Open Competition as prescribed by FAR 6.1, Full and Open Competition.
