Description
Work to be performed under this project consists of providing all labor, equipment and materials to replace the 60-ton TRANE R-22 Chiller with a TRANE R-410A Chiller. The condenser and evaporator of the new chiller shall be of shell and tube design. The cooling tower shall be replaced with a Tower Tech cooling tower. Both hot and chilled water pumps need to be replaced, along with all new electrical panels. Controls are to be upgraded to PSFB EMCS standards. All piping in the Mechanical Rooms, with the exception of the piping to the boiler, is to be replaced. All the AHUs in the facility needs to be replaced as well. Also, there are 12 fan coil units throughout the facility that are deteriorated and need to be replaced. Each of the fan coil units should be individually controlled with the own wall stat. Touch-up paint walls, replace any damaged gypsum board, replace any damaged wainscot and replace any damaged carpeting, as conditions require during equipment replacement. Design shall include a provision for the Contractor to provide a portable chiller during construction. All work shall comply with State of Florida Building Codes and Wing Facility Excellence guidelines. Period of Performance: 180 calendar days, to begin 10 days after issuance of the Notice to Proceed (NTP). NTP to be issued within 30 days after award. This is a solicitation for a Firm-Fixed-Price Construction Contract for Space Launch Delta 45, Patrick Space Force Base, FL. Notice to Offerors: Funds are not presently available for this project. The Governments obligation under this contract is contingent upon the availability of appropriated funds from which payment for contract purposes can be made. No legal liability on the part of the Government for any payment may arise until funds are made available to the Contracting Officer for this contract and until the Contractor receives notice of such availability, to be confirmed in writing by the Contracting Officer. The Government reserves the right to cancel this invitation for bid, either before or after the closing date. In the event the Government cancels this invitation of bid, the Government has no obligation to reimburse an offeror for any costs.
