Description
The following questions were posed in response to the RFQ and the site visit that was held: (responses from Engineering highlighted in yellow: On page 3, section C. The scope of work document only requires for load banking test services and any corrective maintenance repairs. Please clarify whether this solicitation requires both annual preventive maintenance and annual load banking test. Engineering Response: Requires annual preventive maintenance, loading banking testing, and corrective maintenance repairs. On page 4 & 5, tasks: This section only indicates details related to the annual load banking test. In the case the annual preventive maintenance is included in this solicitation, please provide the minimum tasks or requirements for the annual preventive maintenance: The Contractor needs to know whether oil/fuel & coolant samples are needed to be sent to the lab for analysis. Is the fuel polishing included in the annual preventive maintenance? Does the contractor need to replace batteries, air filter, belts, etc.? Engineering Response: Minimum annual preventive maintenance as required by generator manufacturer. We couldn t find any information regarding any known issues with these fifteen (15) generators in the solicitation. Are there any known pre-existing conditions on these generators that we need to know? Engineering Response: Assessment to be done by the selected contractor, and quotes to be provided for corrective maintenance repairs. On page 7, section J, Corrective Maintenance Repairs. This section only indicates the contractor shall notify the COR immediately if any repair is needed after completing the service. However, it does not indicate that the contractor shall submit a quote for review and approval. Then, request any parts that may be needed and then, coordinate the repair job with the COR to proceed with the repair. Please confirm. Engineering Response: Contractor shall submit a quote for review and approval for corrective maintenance. Can the vendor work on multiple generators at a time? Engineering Response: One generator at a time. If a generator is not up and running, how would you like for the vendor to proceed? Fix it back to 100% up and running. Just perform a diagnostic and provide a list to the VA explaining what is wrong and the VA will fix. Engineering Response: Fix it back to 100% up and running.
