- Solicitation Number: W9127825L0037 Classification: J019 Maintenance, Repair, and Rebuilding of Equipment- Ships, Small Craft, Pontoons, and Floating Docks NACIS: 336611 Ship Building and Repairing 10 Days Subject: Main Engines, Gears, Jet Drives, & Generator Services on the S/V DAMRELL.3 Text: Market Research and Sources Sought Notice for information on capability and availability of potential contractors interested in proposing on a Firm Fixed Price Contract to perform maintenance on the S/V DAMRELL engines, gears, jet drives, and generators as described by these Technical Specifications. The contractor will furnish all labor, materials, fittings, tools, lubricants, etc., necessary to accomplish the work within the performance period specified, between Pensacola, FL and Gulfport, MS. The scope of the work consists of Performing the standard 2000-hour service on both the port and starboard MAN V12-1200 (D2862LE435) Diesel engines. This item shall include all oilfilters, fuel-filters, fasteners, gaskets, tools, time, travel, labor, etc. to perform this service per the manufacturer's maintenance manual (M1, M2, and M3). The government will furnish the lubricant for this item of work. Perform an oil change service on both the port and starboard Kohler 24EKOZD Generators and inspect the equipment for any abnormal wear or deterioration. Report any findings to the government representative. This item shall include all oil-filters, fuel-filters, lubricants, fasteners, gaskets, etc. to perform this service per the manufacturer's maintenance manual. The government will furnish the lubricant for this line item of work. Perform an oil change service on both the port and starboard Twin Disc MGX 5146SC marine gears and inspect the equipment for any abnormal wear or deterioration. Report any findings to the government representative. This item shall include all oil, filters, lubricants, fasteners, gaskets, etc. to perform this service per the manufacturer's maintenance manual. Perform an oil change service on both the port and starboard Hamilton HM461 jet drives and inspect the equipment for any abnormal wear or deterioration. Report any findings to the government representative. This item shall include all oil, filters, lubricants, fasteners, gaskets, tools, etc. to perform this service per the manufacturer's maintenance manual. Once work is complete clean jet compartment, removing all oil and grease, old filters and gaskets, and any other resulting residuals. Replace in kind the LG LMV1762ST microwave located in the downstairs galley. The new model should be rated at or above 1000 watts, be greater than or equal to 1. 7 cubic feet, be of stainless-steel construction, have the same placement/installation style, and have similar features to the existing model listed above. This line item includes removal of the existing unit and installation of the new unit. The government will not retain the faulty unit once removed. This is a Market Research and Sources Sought Notice only. No award will result from this Sources Sought Notice. There is no solicitation available currently; therefore, do not request a copy of the solicitation. If a solicitation is released, it will be synopsized in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation and its supplements. It is the contractor�s responsibility to monitor the Government Point of Entry for the release of any solicitation. This Sources Sought Notice is not to be construed as a commitment by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Mobile District to issue a solicitation or ultimately award a contract. Neither unsolicited proposals nor other kinds of offers will be considered in response to this Sources Sought Notice. This Source Sought Notice does not create an obligation on behalf of the Government to make an award of any contract pursuant to this announcement. The purpose of this sources sought notice is to determine the availability of qualified contractors to perform these services and to determine socioeconomic classifications (Large Business, Small Business, HUBZone, Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses, Women Owned Small Businesses, etc.) associated with each. The primary North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) Code applicable to this requirement is 336611, the small business standard for which is 1,250 employees. Responses to this Sources Sought Notice will be used by the government in making appropriate acquisition decisions. RESPONSE INSTRUCTIONS Responses are requested with the following information: 1. Contractor�s name, address, points of contact with telephone numbers and e-mail addresses. 2. Business size/classification (to include any designations such as Large Business, Small Business, HUBZone, Section 8(a) contractor, Service-Disabled Veteran owned Small Business, Small Disadvantaged Business, Women Owned Small Business, etc.) shall be indicated on first page of submission. 3. Contractor shall identify the percentage of services provided in the commercial marketplace and the percentage of services provided to government agencies. 4. Documentation should be submitted with the following considerations: a.Describe your capability and experience dry docking and performing repairs to barges. The above requested information shall not exceed a total of five (5) pages on 8.5"" x 11"" paper, 12-point Times New Roman font, with a minimum of one (1) inch margins all around. Please do not provide standard marketing brochures or catalogs. Responses will be evaluated on the basis of demonstrated functional capability. Responses are due no later than 17 May 2025, 4:00 p.m. CST. Responses received after this date and time may not be reviewed.
