Description
This market research notice is being conducted by Network Contracting Office (NCO) 17 VHA Regional Procurement Office-West (RPOW) 124 E. 5441 Babcock Road STE 302, San Antonio, Texas 78240, intends to issue a Sole Source award to Cadwell,909 North Kellogg Street, Kennewick, Wa 99336 for the procurement of the Cadwell Easy lll PSG 54 Channel System and accessories. Background and Requirement: Contractor shall provide all required new parts in accordance with the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) specifications. This equipment for proposed is the Cadwell Easy lll PSG 54 Channel System and accessories this equipment must be able to perform the following functions. SPECIFIC INSTRUMENT REQUIRED: South Texas VA Health Care System. Cadwell Easy lll PSG 54 Channel System and accessories needs to function with the following: Cadwell Easy lll PSG 54 Channel System and accessories: Kind of material: Includes 6x 54-channel amplifiers, power/communication boxes, remote input electrode boxes with 20' cable, sensor kits, electrode setup kits. Electrical Data: 110 V Ea, provides 4kHz sampling rate. Dimensions, size, capacity: Easy III PSG includes everything listed above PLUS 6x Dell small form factor desktops and Dell 27"" monitors. Principles of operation: The Easy III PSG system is designed for polysomnography (PSG), a diagnostic tool used in sleep medicine. Its principles of operation involve the simultaneous recording of various physiological parameters during sleep. These typically include: 1. EEG (Electroencephalography): Measures brain activity. 2. EOG (Electrooculography): Monitors eye movements. 3. EMG (Electromyography): Records muscle activity. 4. ECG (Electrocardiography): Tracks heart activity. 5. Respiratory Parameters: Measures airflow, respiratory effort, and blood oxygen levels. 6. Leg Movement: Detects leg movements during sleep. 7. The system collects and synchronizes this data to provide a comprehensive analysis of sleep patterns and abnormalities. Sleep technicians use the information to diagnose sleep disorders such as sleep apnea, insomnia, and movement disorders. The PSG system aims to provide accurate and detailed data to support clinical evaluations of sleep-related conditions. For specific operational details, refer to the product manual. Intended use: 1. Diagnosing Sleep Apnea: Detecting and assessing episodes of interrupted breathing during sleep. 2. Evaluating Insomnia: Understanding sleep onset, duration, and continuity. 3. Monitoring Movement Disorders: Detecting abnormal movements during sleep, such as periodic limb movements. 4. Assessing Narcolepsy: Examining rapid eye movement (REM) sleep patterns and associated symptoms. 5. Screening for Other Sleep Disorders: Identifying a range of sleep-related conditions for comprehensive patient care. Equipment with which the items is used: 1. The flexible design of Camplifiers and software allows the use of almost all standard electrodes and accessories. Should offer a comprehensive line of consumables for neurological monitoring, including cEEG, PSG, Clinical and Ambulatory EEG. The intent of this notice is to solicit sole source contract under the authority FAR 13.501(a)(1). The procurement strategy (e.g sole source only) for a solicitation that VA intends to post soon. Interested contractors are requested to respond in accordance with the following: a. where is the item manufactured, the VA is interested in procuring items manufactured in the United States. If you have an existing GSA or VA, Federal Supply Schedule contract, include the contract details in your response. Please note that VA is particularly interested in determining the availability of Service Disable Veteran Owned Small Business/Veteran Owned Small Business or other Small Business manufacturers or authorized distributors that can provide this item. Vendors are requested to submit estimated market research pricing with their responses. The estimated pricing will be considered when determining the procurement strategy for the future solicitation.
