- SYNOPSIS ANNOUNCEMENT SOLICITATION NO. 140R6025R0003 MT ELBERT (MTE) SECURITY GATES REPLACEMENT This requirement is being procured in accordance with Part 15 of the Federal Acquisition Regulations as a full-and-open competition. The Bureau of Reclamation intends to issue a competitive solicitation for this requirement. Based on market research it was determined that there are insufficient number of interested small businesses; thus, this requirement will not be set aside exclusively for small business offerors. PROJECT DESCRIPTION AND PURPOSE The Eastern Colorado Area Office of the Bureau of Reclamation, Missouri Basin Region, has a new requirement for a firm-fixed-price construction project to replace the security gates at the Mt. Elbert Pump Generating Plant located near Twin Lake, Colorado. This project includes furnishing and installing hydraulic (vertical pivot and tilt-a-way) security gates and associated electrical and connectivity wiring/connections. Note: It is the responsibility of the interested party to review the Statement of Objectives and drawings which will be released with the Solicitation. The estimated magnitude of this project is between $250,000 and $500,000. LOCATION OF WORK The work is to be completed at the Mt Elbert (MTE) Pump Generating Plant, Twin Lakes, CO in Lake County. PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE The period of performance is estimated to be from 1 April 2025 to 30 September 2025. COMPETITION Solicitation No. 140R6025R0003 is anticipated to be full and open competition and will result in a firm-fixed-price construction contract. The requirement shall be procured in accordance with Subpart 15 of the Federal Acquisition Regulations. A pre-proposal site visit will be held with the date and details provided in the solicitation. The Government intends to make award without discussions but reserves the right to award with or without discussions. SOLICITATION RELEASE DATE The anticipated release date for Solicitation No. 140R6025R0003 is on or around March 2025. The solicitation documents for this procurement will be accessible from https://sam.gov. It is all potential offerors� responsibility to monitor the sam.gov website for any amendments, updates, responses to questions and answers, etc. as the Government will not be providing any other methods of information dissemination.
