Part 2 Questions to Solicitation 36C24725Q0337 The awarded contractor will provide routine or emergency courier services. Is routine daily and scheduled or is all service on demand and when needed? Please confirm. Page 14 Scope of Work -When needed. Who is the current vendor and how much is the current bid? -Current vendor is JAI ALEXIA CONSULTING INC; Contract was awarded for $48,560.40 per year. Pick-up and delivery will be made within 45 minutes of requested time. Some trips have an estimated radius of 50 miles or more. Will the contractor be penalized if pick-up and delivery time exceeds 45 minutes due to distance? -No but may result in a negative comment on the annual assessment. What are the average number of trips per day? -Up to 5 trips per day. How will the contractor be notified when a pickup/delivery is needed? -Phone calls Is a signature required for pickup and delivery? -Yes How many patients have been transported each month for the past 12 months on this contract. - Patients are rarely transported, maybe up to 5 per year. How many prescriptions/ medical supplies are delivered each day; Are they being delivered to patient's homes? -Medication is normally not delivered to patients home, nor prescriptions and medical supplies. Please explain the route since you are requesting since this contract is 24/7 365 days a year. -The route is normally from Dorn VA to 77 (North or South), 20 (East or West), and 26 (East or West). Please clarify if the government will require the vendor to provide equipment (coolers, totes, locks, and temperature logs). -NO equipment is required. Will wheelchair accessible vehicles be needed for transport of patients or staff? -NO What is the vehicle size currently servicing this location? -Passenger vehicles; Sedan, pickup truck, and/or SUV. The CLINs reference transporting patients and VA staff the scope only mentions VA staff, can you please clarify? -VA staff can include any personnel that is a full-time employee at Columbia (Dorn) VA. How many cubic feet of storage are required for transportation, and what is the maximum size and quantity of items to be transported daily? -Usually the size will be 12 x 12 x 12 , either envelope, small container, or a box. How many drivers/vehicles are currently used to service the current contract? - -3 drivers and 3 vehicles. What is the weekly, monthly, or annual estimated trip volume for as-needed trips in total, and/or as-needed trips per contract location, if any? -Estimating no more than 40 trips per month.
