- NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD SOLE SOURCE: This is a Notice of Intent to Award Sole Source published in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 5.101(a)(1) requiring the dissemination of information regarding proposed contract actions. This Notice of Intent is for a proposed award of a sole source firm fixed price contract to the following contractor for Pneumatic Tube completion at the Samuel S. Stratton VA Medical Center 113 Holland Avenue Albany, NY 12208: Translogic Headquarters 11080 Circle Point Road Suite 500 Westminster, CO 80020 USA This is done under authority of 41 U.S.C. 3304(a)(1), as implemented by FAR 6.302-1: Only one source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. Market research revealed that TransLogic is the only vendor who can provide the scope of work as they are the OEM of the Pneumatic Tube system currently utilized at the Samuel S. Stratton VAMC. The intent of this scope of work is to modify the location of the pneumatic tube receiving station in the 2C Operating Room Suite area, also commission, test and activate the pneumatic tube system between the 2C operating room suite pneumatic and the existing 3B Lab pneumatic station. NAICS Code is 236220 (Commercial and institutional Building Construction) with a small business size standard of $45 Millions. The classification code is Z1DA Maintenance of Hospitals and Infirmaries. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES; however, any firm that believes it can meet the requirements above, may give written notification prior to the response due date and time. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to perform the requirements. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received, the Government will proceed with the award. Responses are due by Monday February 3rd 2025 at 5:00pm EST. Responses shall be submitted via email to amanda.baumler@va.gov.
