Description

The Naval Sea Systems Command expects to issue Request for Proposal (RFP) N00024-25-R-2400 on a sole source basis to Huntington Ingalls Incorporated (Ingalls Shipbuilding), 1000 Access Road, Pascagoula, MS 39568 for Engineering and Post Delivery and related technical data and material services in support of ship construction and maintenance for the LHA 8 and LHA 9 Class Amphibious Assault Ships. The resulting contract is based on follow-on activities from contract N00024-16-C-2427 for LHA 8 and N00024-C-2437 for LHA 9 and will be awarded on a sole source basis because Ingalls Shipbuilding is uniquely qualified with the requisite background, knowledge, and experience required. Parties interested in subcontracting opportunities should contact Ingalls Shipbuilding directly. This notice is for informational purposes only. Solicitation documents are not available. Disclaimer: The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. If a competitive solicitation is issued in the future, it will be announced via SAM.GOV, and interested parties must comply with that announcement. This pre-solicitation notice is for information only and shall not be construed as a commitment by the Government to solicit contractual offers or award contracts. The Government is not soliciting, nor will it accept, proposals as a result of this synopsis. The Government will not reimburse respondents for any questions submitted or information provided as a result of this notice. This is not an RFP or a promise to issue an RFP and this information is subject to modification and in no way binds the Government to award a contract.
