All contractual questions shall be directed to: Cathleen E. Stadler Procurement Specialist 630-840-2763 cstadler@fnal.gov Technical POC is Jordan Bohn at jbohn@fnal.com Question/Answers - Q1.What is the ionizing radiation dosage that these transducers are expected to be exposed to during use in the application? The maximum exposure would be 2Mrad/yr over a 10-year service life. That would be a total of 20Mrad. Q2.For PNA161 there is a line in the description pertaining to Amplifier Type yet the PNA161 transducers are unamplified. Is this amplifier also needed from us? The PNA161 pressure transducers have an mV/V output. The mV/V signal is sent to an amplifier where it produces a 4-20mA signal, which is then readout in our PLC. A pressure transducer with a mV/V output was preferred due to it being more inherently radiation tolerant. However, if a viable pressure transducer exists that doesnt need an amplifier to function then it doesnt need to be provided. Q3.For PNA161 you have an operating temperature range specified at -40C to +125C. Are the transducers expected to actually be exposed to +125C during usage? If not, can you please advise the maximum temperature the sensors are expected to be exposed to? The normal operating temperature is 75F. Q4.For PNA161 on the Particularity line, it lists Cleaning service. Can you please provide some further detail as to what specific kind of cleaning service is required and to what particulate level? There is no cleaning requirement indicated in our specification. I believe the cleaning is simply provided standard with the PNA161. Q5. How will the sensors be utilized? This will be used in a water-cooling system with a maximum pressure of 65psig. The water will be treated with corrosion inhibitors and anti-bacteria chemicals. Nothing that will affect metal surfaces.
