Description
This is a COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION for commercial items prepared in accordance with the information at FAR Subpart 12.6, using Simplified Acquisition Procedures under the commercial items found at FAR 13 as supplemented with the additional information included in this notice. The NAICS code is 813920 and the Small Business Standard is 23.5 million dollars. The proposed contract action is for commercial services for which the Government intends to solicit on a sole source basis with WAI. WAI is the largest nonprofit organization in the world dedicated to increasing the number of women involved in all aspects of aviation and aerospace. The strategic focus of WAI is to provide programs that support their members at every stage of their life in aviation and aerospace. Attracting, retaining, and advancing women in aviation is critical to the aviation industrys safety, sustainability, profitability, and ability to innovate. The objectives of WAI are closely aligned with NRCs objectives for increasing the impact of and opportunities for women in the organization. WAI is the only organization capable of providing all of the necessary and required services that will increase the Navys professional network and add to their professional development experience. Subsequently, attendance at WAI will allow NRC to position itself as an employer of choice for all women in the aviation and aerospace field. The ability for the Navy to have a strong presence at WAI events is critical in promoting the opportunities available to serve our country.
