Description
The United States Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Northwestern Division - Seattle District (NWS) is hosting a Virtual Industry Day to provide additional information and gain feedback from industry on an upcoming requirement for the North Jetty Major Maintenance project in Grays Harbor County, Washington. The Government is seeking qualified, experienced sources capable of performing this type of project. The agency has been tasked to solicit for and award a construction contract to restore the Grays Harbor North Jetty. This major maintenance action seeks to repair sections of the north jetty which have sustained the most damage including areas where wave overtopping has reduced the crest width and crest height of the jetty. The current design seeks to repair up to 6,500 feet of the jetty trunk and root to elevation +23 feet MLLW and up to 1,000 of the jetty tail to +20 feet MLLW. It is estimated this repair will require Up to 111,100 tons of new armor stone to be placed over two work seasons. All work (transport and placement) must be performed using land-based equipment. New armor stone will require a minimum density of 167 pounds per cubic foot. Two classes of armor stone will be required for the outer and inner reaches of jetty; armor stones are anticipated to range between 10-35 tons. Procurement and staging of jetty armor stone will begin prior to jetty repair activities, thus the total project schedule may last up to 42 months depending on quarry sources and availability of suitable stone. Work is anticipated to begin in late 2025. The VIRTUAL Industry Day Event will take place on 14 January 2025 at 09:00 AM (PDT) via Teams link below: https://dod.teams.microsoft.us/l/meetup-join/19%3adod%3ameeting_59a5956dbb034c168a47e81a6dcf05a1%40thread.v2/0?context=%7b%22Tid%22%3a%22fc4d76ba-f17c-4c50-b9a7-8f3163d27582%22%2c%22Oid%22%3a%2287cb9958-b656-4521-b693-76df1a3b4c21%22%7d Please send the following information via email to Hien Ho, Contract Specialist, at hien.ho@usace.army.mil and Gabriell Fraser, Project Manager, at gabriell.r.fraser@usace.army.mil and reference the Virtual Grays Harbor North Jetty Repair in the subject line if you are interested in attending the virtual Industry Day.
