- Description
- Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institutes of Health, National Institute of Child Health and Development (NICHD), in support of the work of the National Institute of Diabetes, Digestive, and Kidney Disease (NIDDK), is conducting a market survey to determine the availability and technical capability of qualified small businesses, including 8(a) small businesses, small disadvantaged businesses, woman-owned small businesses, service-disabled veteran-owned small businesses or HUBZone small businesses capable of setting up a temperature sensitive complex move from a current lab in Bethesda, MD to the Maxx Plank institute in Germany. The Institute supports basic and clinical research through investigator-initiated grants, program project and center grants, and career development and training awards. The Institute also supports research and development projects and large-scale clinical trials through contracts. The NIDDK extramural component, which awards and oversees grants, projects and contracts for research is organized into 4 divisions: Diabetes, Endocrinology, and Metabolic Diseases; Digestive Diseases and Nutrition; Kidney, Urologic, and Hematologic Diseases; and Extramural Activities. The objective is to maintain multiple consistent and appropriate temperatures to a large quantity of expensive reagents being utilized in an ongoing research project. REQUIRED FEATURES AND SPECIFICATIONS The following product features/characteristics are required for this requirement: The vender is required to ship large quantities of temperature sensitive reagents safely from Maryland to Germany with no change in assigned temperature for each reagent. Interact with Laboratory staff to locate and designate each shipment per specific temperature. Maintain each specific temperature for each reagent group. Coordinate receipt by Germany staff awaiting reagents. The government will coordinate with contractor to assist in access to the reagents prepared for shipment. This will be a short-term move. Date of move will be scheduled after funding is approved. Work will be performed during normal business hours Monday-Friday, excluding Federal holidays or days when the Federal Government is closed. Interested small business firms with the capability and authorization of providing all the required products shall submit a capability statement to assist the Government in determining in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 19.502-2(b)whether this procurement will be set-aside for any of the programs described above. The intended procurement will be classified under North American Industrial Classification (NAICS) code 492110 with a size standard of 1500 employees. All respondents are requested to identify their firm�s size and type of business. Interested firms responding to this market survey must provide (a) capability statement demonstrating their experience, skills and capability to fulfill the Government�s requirements for the above. All respondents must include delivery timeframe. The capability statement shall be in sufficient enough detail, so that the Government can determine the experience and capability of your firm to provide the products and service/support above.
