Description
Questions asked by vendor: 1-The RFQ does not specify whether the vendor is required to provide on-site support for replacing parts covered under warranty. Could you clarify if on-site support is a requirement? 2-Should the probes provided by the vendor include NIST or ISO 17025 certification/calibration? 3-Many departments are required by regulatory bodies to provide qualification/validation documentation for systems like this. Is it a requirement for the vendor to provide system qualification upon installation completion? 4-To ensure adequate site servicing, would the departments/end-users consider it necessary for the vendor to have factory-employed technicians located near the site? 5-To meet IT security requirements, should the vendor have an approved TRM from IT? 6-Is it a requirement for any wireless devices provided to be FIPS certified? 7-Does the vendor need to have an RMF ATO to connect devices to the network? 8-Should the proposal be priced based on the equipment documented during the walk-through or the price list requested on page 12 of the RFQ? The listed items appear specific to a particular vendor can this be clarified? 9- Is this for a facility or for patient care? Answers from VA: 1. Yes 2. NIST 3. Yes 4. Not required if the proposed vendor can ensure service/repair coverage provides for emergency repair within 24 hours if the system is not functioning as appropriate. 5. Yes 6. Yes 7. Not at this time. 8. The requirement should be priced to include all items needed to ensure appropriate coverage per the parameters discussed during the walkthrough. The listed items were provided only to illustrate what might be required to achieve appropriate coverage and to establish an estimated pricing point. 9. As this requirement is a station wide it is in support of both patient care and facility tracking needs. ______________________________
