Industry Day Virtual Conference: Veterans Health Administration Pathology and Laboratory Office: Lab Accreditation Services ---------------------------------------------------------- The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Strategic Acquisition Center (SAC) is issuing this Special Notice in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 15.201(e), as a means of conducting market research to identify qualified contractors with the capability and the resources to meet the Veterans Health Administration (VHA), Pathology and Laboratory Services requirement for LAB ACCREDITATION SERVICES. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code assigned to this procurement is 813920. The Product Service Code is R420. THIS IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) ONLY. This is not a Request for Quote (RFQ) or Request for Proposal (RFP). This RFI is issued solely for information and planning purposes only and does not constitute a solicitation, is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government, implied or otherwise, to issue a solicitation or award a contract, nor does the Government intend to pay for any information submitted as a result of this request. All information received in response to this RFI that is marked proprietary will be handled accordingly. The Government does not reimburse respondents for any costs associated with submission of the information being requested or, reimburse expenses incurred for responses to this RFI. Submission of any information in response to this market survey is purely voluntary. Responses to this notice are not offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. Responders are solely responsible for all expenses associated with responding to this RFI. VHA Pathology and Laboratory Services is gathering information for a new laboratory service contract from a Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA) approved accreditation organization with deeming authority. The VA Laboratories are reviewing options for laboratory accreditation services for about 260 moderate and high complexity laboratories. This Request for Information (RFI) will be used to formulate a plan that best fits the VA requirements for laboratory accreditation and quality monitoring. We are exploring options with various levels of contracted service to fit this need. Your input is vital for a solicitation and contract to be created that ensures a good partnership and VA Pathology and Laboratory National Enforcement Office program success. The purpose of this notice is to inform the public of an upcoming industry days regarding the subject requirement. The industry day will serve as an opportunity to discuss the new requirements and foster continuous communications with industry. Feedback may be used, at the government s discretion, to support efforts in further refining requirements in anticipation of the release of a formal solicitation. We are seeking industry response regarding their interest in participating in the upcoming Industry Days detailed below (location and times subject to change). INDUSTRY DAY DAY: February 10 14, 2025, TIME: 1:00PM 2:30PM EST SLOT 1 2:30PM 4:00PM EST SLOT 2 PLACE: Virtual Event Meeting presentation shall be no more than one (1) hour in length with 30 minutes of discussion. Organizations with confirmed deeming authority for laboratory accreditation under CLIA must coordinate with the VA to set up the RFI presentation meeting. The Laboratory Services Industry Day presentation to cover the following element: Response to the Lab Accreditation Requirements Questions (see Attachment 1), If your company is apart of the approved deeming authority for laboratory accreditation under CLIA and would like to participate, the VA requests all interested parties to respond to this notice via email by January 28, 2025, 1200 ET. to Nicole Lowther at nicole.lowther@va.gov and Rodney Burgos Cabassa at rodney.burgoscabassa@va.gov with the below information: Preferred Day and Time Company Name Point of Contact Information: (Name, Phone Number, and email) Number of anticipated attendees Confirmation of approved deeming authority for laboratory accreditation under CLIA Company Socio-Economic Status Company Primary Business for NAICS Code pertaining to Laboratory Accreditation Services Does your company have a Federal Supply Schedule Contract for these services and if so, what is the contract number and the FSS Contracting Officer point of contact information? A summary of your capabilities statement for your company. Please keep it to no more than two pages. Please Note: Include Lab Accreditation In the subject line of your email. Responses to the attached email will NOT be accepted outside of the participation of Virtual Industry Day. VA does not anticipate providing clarification/information on specific requirements until its next public notice. VA will not be providing any specifics to questions submitted in response to this request. Therefore, at this time, VA will not engage in dialogue and will not be providing answers to questions related to this notice.
