We are seeking qualified sources for the potential to be added to our vendors list. Below is a brief synopsis of the services to be performed. The source must be able to provide backup child care services nationwide and possess a minimum of five (5) years of experience in the child care industry, including engagements in colleges, corporations, and government departments. A Backup Care Pilot Program is being considered for two locations. The Pilot Program is designed to offer up to 10 days of care per child during the period of performance. This service can be utilized when a child is experiencing illness and is unable to attend their regular child care arrangements, such as the Child Development Center (CDC), School-Age Care (SAC), or Family Childcare (FCC). Care can be provided until the child is symptom-free and can safely return to their regular care arrangements. It is important to note that this program is not intended to replace regular child care services. Instead, it serves as a short-term solution to provide coverage in urgent situations when children cannot attend their regular child care services due to illness and there are no alternative caregivers available in the household. Child care providers must meet the specific requirements to ensure the safety and well-being of the children in their care. These requirements must include at a minimum state -licensing, completed background checks, and maintain First Aid and CPR certification.
