Description
Please note this solicitation is not ready to be issued as of this date. The U.S. Consulate General Milan, Italy will launch the solicitation on the SAM.gov website when it is available. The Contractor shall provide Italian language instruction to adult students (Consulate General Milan staff and eligible family members) that focuses on the general interest and conversational subjects typically found in mass-media publications for the foreign language speaking public. The Contractor shall develop the instruction to include (but not to be limited to) the development of speaking, listening, and reading skills at all levels (beginner, intermediate and advanced) through the entire range of the course curriculum, covering all aspects of phonology, grammar, and semantics. All instructions shall also include job relevant language terminology and usage of the designated field of interest. A syllabus shall be presented which shall include an outline of the course goals and objectives and the types of language materials to be utilized by the students. Every effort shall be made to present special materials relating to current events in Italy at appropriate comprehension levels. The Contractor shall present ad hoc materials for use of students with special professional needs and/or present current event items, outside the standard curriculum. The Contractor may assign homework to the students. The anticipated performance period is for a base year, with two one-year option periods, if exercised by the Government. All responsible sources may submit a quotation, which will be considered. The Government may award the contract based on the initial offer without discussion. The resultant contract will be a firm fixed price type contract/purchase order. The Government is planning a pre-quotation conference and the date for this conference will be in the solicitation. Milan, Italy is not a danger pay post. All contractors must be registered in the SAM (System for Award Management) Database https://www.sam.gov prior to submitting an offer pursuant to FAR provision 52.204-7. Therefore, prospective offerors are encouraged to register prior to the submittal of quotations/proposals. Electronic Submission/Responses: This opportunity allows for electronic responses.
