- INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE The Department of Veterans Affairs, VHA Regional Procurement Office Central, Network Contracting Office 10, intends to enter into a sole source procurement for Sig Sauer P320 carry firearms for the John D. Dingell VA Medical Center, 4646 John R Street, Detroit, MI 48201. The Department of Veterans Affairs intends to award a sole source, firm-fixed price BPA call order to Sig Sauer, Inc., 72 Pease Blvd., Newington, NH 03801-6801. The associated North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 332994 Small Arms, Ordnance, and Ordnance Accessories Manufacturing, and the Business Size Standard is 1,000 employees. Contractor will furnish fifty-five (55) P320 carry size pistol firearms to the John D. Dingell VA Medical Center, 4646 John R Street, Detroit, MI 48201 which will be used to replace the police service s current inventory of pistol firearms under the firearms modernization program. The VA Office of Security and Law Enforcement, Office of the Senior Security Office, and the Law Enforcement Training Center have approved the Sig Sauer P320 as the replacement pistol firearm for existing Sig Sauer P229 s and P239 s and Beretta 92D s for the VA firearms modernization program. To support this effort, the VA Strategic Acquisition Center (SAC) has awarded a single award Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) 36C10X24A0009 to Sig Sauer, Inc. This notice satisfies the requirement at FAR 5.201(b)(1) to publicize the proposed contract action. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals or quotes. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. A determination not to compete this requirement, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government. Interested persons may identify their interests and capability to respond to this requirement no later than 5:00 PM Eastern Time, Friday, December 13, 2024. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to meet the subject requirement. This information shall be provided at no cost or obligation to the Government.
