Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial products or commercial services prepared in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 12.6, in conjunction with the policies and procedures for solicitation, evaluation and award as prescribed in FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested, and a separate written solicitation will not be issued. Researchers and support staff at the U.S. Army Medical Research Institute of Chemical Defense (USAMRICD) perform clinical analysis of blood, blood products, and other bodily fluids. These analyses assist in the diagnosis and treatment of disease in various animal research models and provide critical research data from animal experimentation. USAMRICD has a current non-personal services requirement for preventative maintenance and as-needed repair services for a VITROS 5600 Integrated System, which performs chemistry and immunoassay testing of whole blood, serum, plasma, urine, and cerebrospinal fluid. The VITROS 5600 is in an animal vivarium. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), such as safety glasses, disposable lab coats, Tyvek suits, gloves, surgical masks, N95 respirators/PAPRs, military masks, face shields, booties, and/or hair caps will be provided by USAMRICD. Please see the Performance Work Statement for further details of this requirement.
