- Description
- Notice of intent to use a brand name product. The Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command, Pacific (NAVFAC Pacific) is performing a market survey to determine if other potential sources of supply can provide an Equipment Lift that has equal performance and listing/approval requirements as provided below. 1. Equipment Lift Requirements: Lift a maximum 20,000 pound load The lift will have the maximum 20,000 pound load permanently anchored to the lifting platform The lift platform will have a maximum dimension of 15 feet by 16 feet The lift will have a maximum height of 70 feet The lift will be located within an environmentally conditioned concrete vertical shaft structure with a maximum height of 70 feet The lift structure may utilize the concrete vertical shaft for horizontal structural support from 3 sides. The side facing the stairs must not be used to provide support. No part of the lift shall extend more than 42"" above the top of the platform when the platform is in the final position at the top of the structure. Any obstructions that are necessary while transporting the load (i.e. guardrails) will need to be removable when the lift is in the final top position. The platform will include removable fiber reinforced plastic guardrail around the perimeter. The equipment lift and anchorage of the load to the platform must be designed for seismic forces. The lift may be braced to the structural slab at the top of the tower. The lift structure will utilize the Seismic Design Criteria as seen in the attachment. See attached conceptual drawings for reference and additional requirements 2. Submittal Requirements Executive summary that provides the following Project understanding Design and manufacturing approach Design and manufacturing qualifications Estimated schedule of design and manufacturing given the provided requirements and conceptual drawings List of past custom lift design and manufacture experience with project description, date, location, and client Resumes of relevant staff Please submit complete information via email to Ms. Emily Hata at emily.m.hata.civ@us.navy.mil no later than 27 November 2024 at 2:00 PM HST. Information received after the due date/time may not be considered. Any information provided to the Government in response to this sources sought notice will become U.S. Government property and will not be returned. All proprietary or classified information will be treated appropriately.
