NOI Cytiva Sepax C-Pro Cell Processing Systems Software Upgrade NAICS Code: 513210-Software Publisher ($47 Average Annual Receipts) Product Service Code: 7A21-IT and Telecom - Business Application Software (perpetual License Software) Place of Performance: Bethesda, MD 20892 POTS: �25-001247 Description: This is a notice of intent, not a request for a quotation. A solicitation document will not be issued, and quotations will not be requested. The National Institutes of Health (NIH), Clinical Center, Office of Purchasing and Contracting on behalf of the Department of Transfusion Medicine, Center for Cellular Engineering Services intends to award a firm fixed price contract to Cytiva-Global Life Sciences Solutions USA LLC located in Marlborough, MA 01752-3078 on a sole source basis to perform software updates on two (2) Sepax C-Pro Processing Systems. List of Equipment Sepax C-Pro Cell Processing System - Serial Number 29264741-6994.4253 Sepax C-Pro Cell Processing System - Serial Number 29264741-7133.4253 The Department of Transfusion Medicine, Center for Cellular Engineering Services has a requirement for a contractor to perform software upgrades on two (2) Cytiva Sepax Pro Cell Processing systems.�The Department of Transfusion Medicine, Center of Cellular Engineering Services requires the two Sepax Pro Cell Processing Systems software application package to allow the full functionality of these devices. �The software upgrade will increase in functionality will negate the need to purchase alternate devices to perform the additional tasks and reduce the preventative maintenance costs associated preventative maintenance services with the alternate devices. �The Department of Transfusion Medicine, Center of Cellular Engineering Services previously updated four of the six Sepax Pro Cell Processing Systems and now has a need to update the remaining two systems.� Global Life Sciences Solutions USA LLC (Cytiva) is the original equipment manufacturer and sole supplier of the required proprietary software. t and the only known source capable of performing the software upgrade on the two highly specialized instruments. Cytiva-Global Life Sciences Solutions USA LLC is the only source that can provide qualified technicians to perform the required software upgrades. This acquisition is being conducted using policies unique to the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 13 � Simplified Acquisition Procedures, Subpart 13.106-1(b)(1).� For purchases not exceeding the simplified acquisition threshold (SAT), contracting officers may solicit from one source if the contracting officer determines that the circumstance of the contract action deem only one source reasonably available.� Contracts awarded using FAR Part 13-Simplified Acquisition Procedures are exempt from the requirements of FAR Part 6-Competition Requirements. Interested Parties: Interested parties capable of providing the same or similar products or services described in this notice may submit a capability statement outlining their capability to perform the described work.� Capability Statements must be received within the time set forth in this synopsis to be considered by the Government. The determination to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
