- This is a sources sought notice. The Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Troop Support is seeking sources capable of providing equipment, devices, and supplies for audiologic �treatment packages�.� The ""treatment packages "" include hearing aids, impression kits, singles, tub & accelerators, cartridges, ear dams, earmolds, hearing protection, tubes, and general supplies (cerumen management, ear tips, otoscopes & stethoscopes, infection control, etc. in support of the audiology equipment and devices), and diagnostic sets. All products must be Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved and Trade Agreement Act (TAA) complaint. The products that make up the �treatment package� must be delivered Just-In-Time (JIT), and Direct Vendor Delivery (DVD). Under the JIT delivery method, the Medical Treatment Facility (MTF) calls the manufacturer�s field representative who carriers the products into the MTF just-in-time for the treatment. The manufacturer�s sales representative may bring any of the diagnostic, procedural,� treatment, or other auxiliary products to the site. Under the DVD method an order for products is placed through ECAT and the products and the products are delivered direct to the customer via any transportation carrier. While Consignment is not currently listed as a method of delivery, the Government reserves the right to include this delivery option; where applicable. Under the consignment method, a Medical Treatment Facility (MTF) will have the products that make up the procedural package consigned to their facility.� At the request of the MTF�s, the manufacturer is required to have a qualified representative on site at the MTF�s within the timeframe specified by the facility necessary to meet their requirements. The manufacturer�s representative(s) provide technical advice and guidance to the audiologist�s before, during and after implantation.� Furthermore, technical support should be available twenty-four (24) hours a day, seven (7) days a week.� This is a Request For Information (RFI) and does not commit the U.S. Government to issue a solicitation, make an award, or pay any costs associated with responding to this announcement.
